School Age Care Program details:

  • A before and after school care program for school age children, in grades Kindergarten through 12 years of age.
  • Offers before and after school care, during professional development days, vacation weeks and full day summer camp care.
  • Drop in/hourly care available.
  • A member affiliate of Boys and Girls Club of America and 4-H
  • COA accredited.

Subase New London's School Age Care (SAC) program provides care for children in kindergarten through 6th grade (ages K-12). We offer before and after school care, as well as care on professional development days and during school vacations. Additionally, we provide hourly care and are closed on federal holidays. Hourly care cost is $8 per hour per child. Hourly care can be used any time during the week including no-school days that the Youth Center is still open. Registration is required.

As a member affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a participant in 4H programming, SAC offers a wide range of activities designed to support the development of youth. Our programs focus on character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, technology, and sports, fitness, and recreation.

We are committed to helping youth reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens, and are proud to be accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

SAC serves the following schools: Groton Middle School, Northeast Academy, RMMS (for Groton residents only), Thames River, Mystic River, Winthrop, Nathan Hale, Catherine Kolnaski, Sacred Heart, and Charles Barnum.

Hourly care is available at the Youth Center. The cost is $8 per hour per child; minimum two hours. Hourly care can be used any time during the week including no-school days that the Youth Center is still open. Registration is required. Call for more details.
