New London - Youth Center
Subase New London's School Age Care program (SAC) cares for children in kindergarten through 6th grade (ages K-12). Our program offers before and after school care, care on professional development days, and care on school vacations. SAC offers hourly care and is closed on federal holidays. We are a member affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a participant in 4H programming. We offer activities in character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, technology, and sports, fitness and recreation. Our programs help youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens, and we are accredited by the Council on Accreditation. Schools we serve: Groton Middle School, Northeast Academy, RMMS (for Groton residents only), Thames River, Mystic River, Winthrop, Nathan Hale, Catherine Kolnaski, Sacred Heart, Charles Barnum.

Youth program is open to ages 9 through 12. Teen program is open to ages 13 through 18. Our programs offer youth the opportunity to participate in the arts, health & life skills, sports, fitness & recreation activities, character and leadership development, education, career development, field trips, special events, and community service.
The Youth Center offers:
- Technology/library room
- Game room
- Gymnasium
- Fitness area
- Keystone and Torch Clubs
- 4-H programs
- A member affiliate of the boys and girls club of America
Hourly care is available at the Youth Center. The cost is $8 per hour per child. Hourly care can be used any time during the week including no-school days that the Youth Center is still open. Registration is required. Call for more details.
